ABAP and XML

With the CALL TRANSFORMATION statement, you can convert ABAP data into XML format and vice versa. In this process, transformation programs of the following types are called:

• XSL Transformations

• Simple Transformations

The asXML format is very important for mapping ABAP data types to XML data types and for the result of serializations of ABAP data using XSLT:

• asXML - Canonical XML Representation
