Obsolete Access Statements

The following statements are predecessors of Open SQL The keywords of the obsolete access statements are based on the processing statements for internal tables, not on SQL.

The statements listed here are only possible for reasons of downward compatibility and only for database tables whose names begin with "T" and have a maximum of five characters.

Other versions: 7.31 | 7.40 | 7.54

Note

The MODIFY and DELETE statements listed here overlap the short forms of Open SQL which are also obsolete. Since the keywords MODIFY and DELETE are also in SQL, these statements were transferred to Open SQL. Only when connected to the VERSION addition, MODIFY and DELETE are not Open SQL statements.
