protected
Term in ABAP Objects. A protected
component of a
class can be accessed only by the class itself or by its subclasses. Only the class itself and its subclasses can create
objects in a protected instantiable class. Here,
friends of the class have the same rights as the class itself . The protected
visibility section
of a class is introduced by the statement PROTECTED SECTION in the
declaration section.
